Rother Valley Railway Limited has responded to the Inspector's request for further environmental information.
The proposed Order is applied for by Rother Valley Railway Limited (RVR), working in partnership with the Kent and East Sussex Railway (K&ESR) which operates an existing heritage railway between Tenterden and Bodiam.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) guidance referred to in section 9 of the Statement of Matters has been replaced by MHCLG's 'Guidance on Compulsory Purchase Process and the Crichel Down Rules', published in July 2019
Statement of Matters
The RVR requested the Secretary of State (SoS) for a delay to the commencement of the Public Inquiry into the proposed Order.
The reason for the request is to allow for further information to be provided to address the concerns raised by Highways England (HE) and the Office of Rail and Road (ORR).
The SoS under Rule 23 of the Transport and Works (Inquiries Procedure) Rules 2004 has agreed to this request to allow for the additional information to be provided and considered.
